Obituary of John Vanko
John Vanko, 67, of Jessup, died Sunday evening at home. His companion of 23 years is Angela Veltri.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late John and Della Zebbi Vanko. John was a graduate of Jessup High School, class of 1967 and was a Master Carpenter who built many homes in Jessup and the surrounding areas.
He was a free spirit, who was a gifted musician. His passion for music was obvious to anyone who knew him. John was a kind and loving father and friend who will be missed by his family and many friends.
Also surviving are two sons; Jesse and fiancé Lacey Hubney, Philadelphia and Jacob and companion Alex, Norfolk, VA.
He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Vanko.
There will be a viewing Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup. Musical services to be performed at 7:30 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. For online condolences, to share pictures, visit, www.margottafuneralhomes.com
