Obituary of Vinchenza Virginia Bilotta

Vinchenza Chanca Geroulo Bilotta, November 5, 2007. w/ pic Vinchenza Chanca Geroulo Bilotta, 89, of Peckville died Monday morning at Lackawanna County Health Care Center. She was the widow of Dominick Bilotta, who died October 5, 1978. Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Anna Chelli Geroulo. She attended Jessup Schools and was employed with her brother Gerald, operating the family business The Cool Spot in Jessup. Throughout her life, she put her magnificent cooking talents to use by entertaining family and friends. She worked for the garment industry at the Barbizon in Jessup with her sister Annabelle. Later she worked for the Valley View School District and Mack Truck in Allentown. After retirement she helped her dear friends Italo and Malfalda Sallavanti at Mafaldas Specialty Shop in Jessup. She belonged to two social clubs, Gardenia Club for 50 years and the Bakers Club. She was a committed and longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. She was a kind, compassionate and loving woman who lived life to the fullest. she loved vacationing at the beach with her family and spending time with her friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are a daughter Barbara Butler, Blakely; two granddaughters, Diane Cardamone and husband James, Dunmore; and Robin Sebastianelli and husband Ben, Archbald. two great-grandchildren, Liza Cardamone and J.C. Cardamone; a brother in law, Chester Sebastianelli, Archbald, several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also preceded in death by six brothers; Thomas, James, Gerald, Frank, Joseph, and Michael Geroulo. And four sisters; Antoinette, Elizabeth Prutisto, Angeline DelleDonne, and Annabelle Sebastianelli. The Funeral will be Thursday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup, with mass at 9:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment St. Marys Cemetery, Montdale. Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8pm.
