Obituary of Louise M. Stasium

Louise M. Stasium, 96, of Holland, formerly of Jessup, died Tuesday at home. Her husband was Charles Stasium, who passed away in 1973 Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Fischi Weston. Louise was a graduate of Jessup High School and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, where she was a Eucaristic minister and a member of its altar and rosary society. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She was a great cook and took great pride in her home. She loved to read, dance and enjoyed music. She was also a member of the Jessup American Legion, Michael Steiner Post 411. Surviving are her son, Ken Stasium and partner, Ray Moretti, Holland; several nieces, nephews and friends who loved her. Ken and Ray would like to thank Loving Arms Eldercare for their outstanding and loving care over the past 5 years. Mom truly enjoyed visits from her “girlfriends”. Also thanks to Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care the last 2 months. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Pfeiffer; her brothers, Joseph and Albert Weston. The funeral will be on Tuesday with mass of Christian burial at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 am at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, Jessup In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Chicago, IL, in Louise’s Memory.
