
Obituary of Mary G. Novajosky
Mary Dombrosky Novajosky, 95, of Peckville, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Allied Hospice. She was the widow of Stephen Novajosky, who died April 11, 2018. The couple was married for 71 years at the time of his death.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Werner Dombrosky. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and was employed in the Catskills at the Concord Hotel before returning to Peckville to be a devoted mother and wife. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Moreck and husband, Richard, Berlin, Md.; a son, Stephen and wife, Sue, Peckville; and a son-in-law, Kevin McMorran, Florida; six grandchildren, Alyssa Rice (Nick), Tristan McMorran, Ashley Fox (Joshua), Courtney Blair (Klinton), Stephen and Kyle Novajosky; three great-grandchildren, Brycen and Maverick Rice, and Jacob Fox; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly McMorran; a sister, Theresa Guida; and a brother, Joseph “JoJo” Dombrosky.
The funeral will be held Saturday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Interment, St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Montdale.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
