Obituary of Diane McGuire

Diane McGuire, 73 a lifelong Peckville resident passed away Monday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband is Michael McGuire. The couple was married for 53 years. He remembers her as being such a wonderful, devoted and loving wife who will be missed forever. Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Alice Merrigan Giovanni. She was a 1966 graduate of Blakely High School and was employed as a secretary in the Scranton School District for a short time. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was very devoted to the Blessed Mother. She is also survived by a son Michael McGuire, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Peckville and several nieces and nephews and cousins. From Michael Jr. You are my sunshine Mom. I love and miss you. The funeral will be held Thursday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville, with mass at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.
