Obituary of Armando J. Artigiani

Armando Joseph Artigiani. 95 of Peckville, formerly of Jessup, passed away Wednesday evening at Mid-Valley Health Care Center, after an illness. His wife who died May 22, 2018 was the former Maryann Novak Boyko Artigiani. The couple was married for 48 years. He was born in Jessup, on July 30, 1926, son of the late Armando and Elizabeth Garaventa Artigiani. He was a graduate of Jessup High School and the University of Scranton where he received a Bachlor of Science degree in Education. He was a Naval veteran of World war II. He was employed as a teacher in New Jersey for many years. After retiring from teaching he was employed with Vanston Builders, Fabri Plumbing and Joseph Larioni Catering. He was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church now knowns as Queen of Angels Parish. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. and his care giver, John Damski, of Archbald. He was preceded in death by his wife Maryann and his sister, Marie Artigiani. Armando is the last survivor of the Artigiani family. Armand was a very proud contributor to the St. Mary's Cemetery renovation Fund and was always available to impart his wisdom of the old cemetery. He was a kind and caring friend to everyone and will be missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to call him a friend. The funeral will be held Thursday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup, with mass at 10 AM at Queen of Angels Parish, St. Michaels' Church. Interment, St. Mary's Assumption Church, Montdale.
