Obituary of Linda L. Cortazar

Linda Cortazar, 78, of Olyphant, died Wednesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital with her family by her side. Her companion of many years was Michael Hajar, Olyphant Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Beverly Van Duzer Visotski. She was proceeded in death by brother Edward Visotski. Linda was employed by Harper Collins prior to her retirement. Her first job was at the Ideal Restaurant, Olyphant. Later working for R&M Fashion and Sugarman’s. She was a kind and loving mother, grand and great-grandmother sister and friend who will be dearly missed.She enjoyed gardening, camping, dancing, and going out to lunch with her friends, Rose, Lucille, and Patty and going for her Wednesday outings with Betty, and going to see Old Friends play at Nay Aug park but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Lisa Heater and husband Howard, Olyphant, Matthew and wife Jennifer, Carbondale; her grandchildren, Alyssa Sullivan and husband Jason, Sara Cortazar, Howard Heater Jr., and Matthew Cortazar Jr.;a great grandson, Dante Sullivan and Brother William Visoski; several nieces, nephews and cousins and fur friends Fooster, Dakota and Remi The funeral will be on Tuesday with mass of Christian burial at 10 am at Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Dickson City. Viewing hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 pm at James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville.
