Obituary of Dolores Pettinato

Dolores Jenesky Pettinato, 80 of Dunmore passed away peacefully on Sunday morning at Dunmore HealthCare Center where she was a resident and Patient Advocate for the last 6 years. She was the loving wife of Joseph Pettinato. The couple was married for 61 years. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Helen Jenesky. She attended Scranton Schools and was a full time housewife . She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Godmother who loved her family and her life. Her smile and laughter could light up any room and was always thrilled to talk to anyone. Listening to Englebert Humperdinck, taking trips to St. Ann's Monastery gave Dee great pleasure along with Bingo and helping others in so many social activities at her residence. Her kind heart was felt by anyone who knew her. Also surviving along with her husband are a daughter, Debra Pettinato Tomaino, Archbald and fiance Gary Preschutti, a son Joseph R. Pettinato, Jr. Peckville, grandsons, Paul J. Burke, Dunmore and Gerard F. Tomaino, Milford and fiance Erin Tully, great grandchildren, Layla, Delilah, Delaney and Logan, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday January 17 from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville, with a blessing service at 3 PM. Friends may call from 2 to 3 o'clock at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
