Obituary of Baldo R. Petrini
Baldo R. Petrini Jr. ,86, died Saturday evening at Scranton Health Care Center. His wife was the former Antoinette “Toni” Pollitts, who passed away in 2011. The couple was married for 53 Years.
He was born in Peckville, and was the son of the late Baldo Sr. and Nancy Monachelli Petrini. Baldo was a graduate of Blakely High School and was employed as a Carpet Salesman at Pocono Interiors, Milford PA prior to his retirement.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. Baldo enjoyed dancing the jitterbug with his wife, playing Poker and Pinochle and Blakely Bears, Valley View Cougars and NY Giants football. As his friends and family could attest to, he had the best sense of humor and was always ready with a good joke. His smile, energy and wisdom will be missed by all that knew him.
Surviving are his children, Nancy Gongliewski and husband John, Myrtle Beach, SC and Christine McGeachie and husband Don, Peckville; his grandson John Gongliewski III, Peckville and granddaughter, Stephanie Ort and husband Chris, Scranton.
The Family would like to thank the dedicated and caring nurses and staff at Scranton Health Care Center.
The Funeral will be on Friday with mass of Christian burial at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. There will be a viewing on Friday from 8:30am to 9:30am at James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville.
Throughout his life, Baldo often donated to numerous charities. In his memory, please give to a charity of your choice.
