Obituary of Carole Coccodrilli

Carole C. Coccodrilli, of Jessup, died Friday December 3, 2021 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center following an illness. Born in Jessup, (December 6, 1939), she was the daughter of Gus Coccodrilli Sr. and Olga Scarabotti Coccodrilli. Carole graduated from Blakely High School and Lackawanna Business College. She also attended Marywood University. Carole was employed as an Administrative Assistant Director at the Lackawanna River Basin Sewer Authority followed by two decades of working in Domestic Relations Services. In addition, Carole was dedicated to teaching religion classes to youth, and initiatives in support of The Passionate Nuns. Carole was a principal person in establishing relations between the Town Officials in Gubbio, Italy and Jessup. This work resulted in a renaissance of the Festa Dei Ceri, an extensive reconnection between the inhabitants of the two towns. Her passion was travel and she initiated The Gubbio Express, which many people from the USA took advantage of to enjoy the Festa in Italy. She also was a member of the Blakely Bears Club, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, and a lifelong member of the St. Ubaldo Society and the Family of Saint George. She was predeceased by her brothers Dr. Vincent (Chuck) Coccodrilli, Ronald Coccodrilli Sr. and nephew Chuck Coccodrilli. Surviving are her brother Dr. Gus (Bud) Coccodrilli Jr. and Gloria Coccodrilli; nephews and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on December 11,2021 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1101 Willow St., Peckville, PA. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Carole's family would like to thank the staff at Allied Skilled Nursing Center and Allied Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
