Lila Ritzco

Obituary of Lila Mae Ritzco

Lila Mae Ritzco, 67 of Blakely, formerly of Honesdale passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Allied Hospice. Born in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Ruby J. Hansen Warfield, she was a graduate of Wallenpaupack High School where she was a star basketball player. She was employed as a supervisor at WEA Manufacturing for 25 years until retiring. Lila was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving as it was her opportunity to spend time with family and friends sharing stories, laughs and, of course, food. She started the tradition of renting "The Pond House" years ago and managed to turn the Thanksgiving holiday into a three-day event that each family member cherished deeply. This family tradition will live on for years to come and be shared with future generations. She passed at daybreak on the first day of hunting season, just in time to go hunting with her dad like she used to do. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard J. Ritzco of Blakely; two children, Richard P. Ritzco of Jessup and Brenda Budzinski and husband Tom, of Scott Township; grandchildren Kassandra Zinzel and Jacquelyeen Boney; great grandchildren Kalina and Kara. Also surviving is her sister Theresa Warfield Saulque and husband Steven, Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother John R. Warfield. A celebration of life will be held at Saint John Vianney Parish, Montdale on Friday, December 17th at 2PM. For those unable to attend there will be another celebration of her life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in her name. Arrangements are under the care of the Margotta Funeral Home. For online condolences go to, ""
