Edward Borowski

Obituary of Edward J. Borowski

Edward "Eddie" Borowski, 73 of Archbald, joined the love of his life in eternal rest on Monday at home. His wife of 50 years was the former Diane "Dee Dee' Borowski, who died October 11, 2021. Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Francis and Antoinette DiPasquale Borowski. He was a graduate of Jessup High School and then joined the US Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2004. After his retirement he spent his time with his wife, his family and his beloved friends. He loved to tinker with anything he could. He loved his projects and never sat still it he could stand it. His kindness knew no bounds, just like his sense of humor. He loved his wife more than anyone could imagine and his beloved dog, Penny. He resided in Archbald for the past 48 years after moving from Jessup. He was a former member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Jessup. He was also a member of the Riverside American Legion and the Elk Mountain VFW. His seat there will always feel a little empty, with a little less of his booming laughter. He is survived by a son, Vincent Munley of Archbald, a granddaughter Devon Munley of Pittston, whom he adored, a daughter in law Paula Munley, Pittston, a sister, Joyce McDonough, and husband Jim, Macungie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy and two sisters Frances and Theresa. The funeral will be held Saturday at one o'clock with a blessing service at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Margotta Funeral Home. For online condolences go to funeral home website.
