Obituary of Marion Megela

Marion Megela, 95 of Scranton passed away peacefully on Thursday at Mountain View Care Center. She was the widow of Charles Megela who died in December of 1988. The couple was married for 43 years. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Catherine (Wizbauskas) Pasco. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was employed as a seamstress most of her life. She retired as a cafeteria worker from South Lackawanna Vo-Tech School in Dickson City. A lifelong Scranton resident, she was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Peckville. Family was the most important part of Marion’s life and everyone loved her. She is survived by three sons, Charles Megela and wife, Elizabeth, Florida, Edward Megela and wife, Kim, Peckville, and William Megela and fiancé, Cheryl Hussey, Waymart, and a daughter, Donna Robacker and husband, Stephen, Scranton (with whom she resided until her recent illness). Nine grandchildren: Scott Myrthel and wife, Maryann, Wade Myrthel and wife, Maureen, Bridget Megela and fiancé, Joe, Gabrielle Kasaczun, and husband, John, Lon Thomas, Kelsey Williams and fiancé, Elizabeth, Kelly Ford and husband, Glenn, Charles Robacker and fiancé, Ashley, and Melanie Megela and fiancé, Michael; and eight great-grandchildren: Michael, Sarah, Rosie, Abigail, John Paul, Mariah, Carly and Myra. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce Myrthel and Linda Williams and two brothers, William Pasco, Anthony Pasco and two sisters, Dorothy Pasco and Rita Rinkunas. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all the loving care and assistance provided to Marion by the staff at Mountain View Care Center during her illness. The funeral will be held on Thursday with mass at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment Abington Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are respectfully under the care of the James M.
