Obituary of Robert J. Paciotti

Robert J. Paciotti, 75 of Jessup passed away peacefully at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Facility in Lake Ariel on Sunday of complications from Parkinson's Disease and Parkinson's related dementia. He and his loving wife Carol (Vislosky) Paciotti would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in October. Born in Peckville, he was a lifelong Jessup resident. He was the son of the late Video "Spud" Paciotti and the late Jennie (Tomassoni) Paciotti. Robert was a 1964 graduate of Jessup High School and later attended Johnson Trade School where he would learn the skills to embark on his career as a tool and die machinist. Also surviving are his children, Robert Jr. Jessup, Maria Cali and husband Jeff, Scranton, Michael and wife Karen Bethlehem. He will also leave behind grandchildren, Alexia Connors and husband Bob, Peckville, Fallon and Payton Paciotti, Jessup, Kiersten, Rylee and Jagger Cali, all of Scranton, Natasha Dunda Deckman and husband Matt Deckman, Bethlehem, Joseph Dunda and wife Kaleena, Dunmore, and great grandchildren, Carter, Emmalyn and Declan, all of Peckville. Bobby was a member of the Jessup Police , Fire and Ambulance squads for many years and loved helping and caring for his fellow Jessupians. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time on the water fishing or in the woods hunting. He also loved tending to his garden and cooking. But perhaps his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing would put a smile on his face quite like when he got to spend time with them. The family would like to thank the staff at Julie Ribaudo for their compassionate care over the past year. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday August 2nd at the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup. Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home. A service will take place at 6 PM by the Reverend James Marsh.
