Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of Michael and Anne (Fasano) Racobaldo. She was a graduate of Jessup High School and was employed as a computer board assembler by Weston (Daystrom). Rita was a former member of St. Mary’s Assumption Church Jessup, where she was very involved in weekly Charismatic prayer groups, church spaghetti dinners and events, Charismatic Conferences at the University of Scranton and presently was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville. She resided in Peckville for over 58 years.

Rita was preceded in death by her sisters Nancy (Nicolas) Catania and Stella (Thomas) Molinaro, and brother-in-law John Mackey.
Rita’s life was exemplified by her never-ending love for her husband, children, immediate and extended family, many life-long friends, and all those who she came in contact with. She always put others first and was there for those in need. She enjoyed baking and cooking big family meals, spending time with family and friends, going to church and her prayer groups, and trips to the Jersey shore. Her life was a living testimony of the power of faith in Jesus Christ, upon which she drew her incredible strength, courage and love.
