Obituary of Victor J. Santarelli

Victor J. Santarelli, Jr. 74 of Jessup passed away Thursday at Mid Valley Health Care Center. Born in Jessup, he was the son of the late Victor and Edith Ercolani Santarelli. A lifelong Jessup resident he was a graduate of Jessup High School and was employed as a Jessup Policeman, until his retirement and a member of Jessup Hose Company #2. A former member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Jessup. Victor, better known as "Hotdog", was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada, New York, and trips to the casino. Victor also loved to cook, make lonza, homemade wine, and tend to his garden, but most of all he loved his cats. Victor was a very loving father and friend who will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by four sons, Victor III, David and wife Melissa and Ron and wife Lisa, all of Peckville and Robbie, Eynon, and his former wife Carol Santarelli, Eynon, a brother, James Santarelli, Jefferson Twp., a sister, Marion Martin and husband Joseph "Smokey", Eynon, four grandchildren, David, Gabrielle, Gianna and Robert and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Mary Patuk and Joan Gombar and an infant sister and brother. The funeral will be held Wednesday with a blessing service at 10 AM at the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St. Jessup. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Jessup. Friends may call Tuesday for a walk through viewing Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. All CDC guidelines will be adhered to.
