Obituary of Cheryl Coccetti Rumford

Cheryl Coccetti Rumford, 59, of Eynon passed away peacefully Monday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. Born in Scranton, November 3, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Bette Banks Coccetti. She was a member of the Blakely Baptist Church and was a graduate of Valley View High School, Class of 1980. She was employed at Price Chopper, Dunmore for 12 years before her illness. She was a loving mother, sister, and aunt who had a great sense of humor. She loved to color and loved spending time with everyone, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Vangarelli and husband A. J., Eynon, a brother, Gary Coccetti and wife Doreen, Peckville, and her twin sister Cindy Lachovicz, Eynon, with whom she resided and shared caregiver responsibilities with her niece Kristen Lachovicz, two grandchildren, Paislee, and Kyle Vangarelli, three nieces Kristen Lachovicz, Eynon, Diana Coccetti, Peckville, and Gina Coccetti, Archbald, and a great niece, Gianna Clark. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, John Lachovicz. The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care Cheryl received. The funeral and burial will be private and take place Saturday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Blakely Baptist Church, 1748 Main St. Blakely, PA 18447. Also because of Cheryl's colorful personality, the family requests that no one wear black.
