Obituary of Ann Sue Pezak

Ann Sue Pezak, 81, of Jessup, passed away Saturday, at home, surrounded by her family. Her husband is Stanley Pezak, Sr. The couple was married for 61 years. Born in Jermyn, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Chup Mizok. She graduated from Jermyn High School and was employed as a waitress for the Charcoal Restaurant, Bell Telephone, in Jermyn and Mid Valley Long Term Care Center, before taking time off to raise her family. She retired as a clerk from the Jermyn and Mayfield Post Offices. She resided in Jessup for most of her life and was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup, and was very active in the church societies in her younger days. Ann was well love by all who met her and she had a passion for reading books. Her family meant everything to her and there was nothing she would not do for them. Ann and her husband Stanley did everything together short of golf and hunting. Our Mom's last years were spent at home where her husband Stanley and daughter Debbie who unselfishly gave up her career, took loving care of her. A special thank you to Dr. Susan Biancarelli and staff , Dr. Roger Getts and staff and the nursing staff from Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassion and care. Also surviving, two sons, Gary and wife Theresa, and Paul and wife Joann, all of Jessup, a daughter and her caregiver, Debbie, at home, three grandchildren, Craig, Corey, and Sean, sisters, Sadie Jesuit, Peckville, and Mary Ann Jeryga, Jessup, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Stanley Pezak, Jr. and several brothers and sisters. The funeral will be held Wednesday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home with Office of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church. Friends may call at the church for a walk through viewing from 9 AM until time of service. All CDC guidelines will be followed. Mass is open to public again with masks and social distancing. Interment, parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Hospice of the Sacred Heart 100 William St, Dunmore, PA or Griffin Pond Animal 967 Griffin Pond Rd., S. Abington Twp, Pa 18411.
