Obituary of Vera Pilch
Vera Pilch, 95 of Clarks Summit, formerly of Olyphant passed away peacefully of natural causes, Tuesday afternoon at Willowbrook Place.
Born in Olyphant she was the youngest child of the late Walery and Jadwiga Mociolek Pilch. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and Lackawanna Junior College where she received an Associate Degree in Business. She was employed for many years as an Executive Secretary at the RCA Corporation. She resided in Olyphant for most of her life and was a member of the former St. Michael's Church now Holy Cross Parish. A special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Willowbrook Place, for all of the kindness and compassion afforded Vera during her stay. Vera's smile brightened everyone's day.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, her caregiver Judy Murphy and husband Michael Clarks Green and Louis Pilch and wife Jean, Moosic. She was preceded in death by brothers, Louis, Charles, Walter, and Joseph and sisters, Angeline and Agnes.
Memorial contributions may be made to. Holy Cross parish, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, PA or St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave. Scranton.
The funeral will be held Monday with a blessing service at the James m. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville, at 10:30AM.
