Obituary of William S. Zwicharowski

William S. Zwicharowski entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2020. We are grateful the virus never found him. His wife Martha passed on October 29, 2005. They were married for 44 years. William was born March 6, 1930. He was the youngest of five children of the late John and Antonia Zwicharowski who resided in Archbald. His siblings were; Tillie, John, Harry, and Emma. Sadly all are gone now. William attended Archbald High School. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was stationed in Greenland, Newfoundland, Florida, Texas and finally California where he was honorably discharged in 1961. He started working in the Archbald Post Office in 1963. He retired in 1992 after 29 years, well liked and remembered along his route. In January 1989 his jeep was replaced by a new truck. Recently while at the post office he spotted his truck. He knew it by the ID# It's still on the road today. Both were built to last. Always busy with his garden, making things, or on daily walks; but travel and being on the road were his favorites. From the mountains to the sea he was happiest being outside. He enjoyed bird and wildlife watching and long days on quiet beaches with the seagulls and the sanderlings. He leaves his daughter Martha with whom he shared many wonderful adventures She fought with him and for him through everything. Together they were stronger. He also leaves his nieces; Theresa his goddaughter, Karen (John); his nephews, Ray (Ellen), Stanley (Diane). From the next generation he leaves several great and great great nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Mary's of Vilna Church that later became St. Mary's of Czestochowa Church in Eynon. A private blessing service by Father Clark along with military honors was held. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by the Margotta Funeral Home. Devotion to Robert Frost The heart can think of no devotion Greater than being shore to the ocean- Holding the curve of one position, Counting an endless repitition.
