Barbara Festa

Obituary of Barbara A. Festa

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara. A woman who gave selflessly to her family and friends, with the kindest heart we have ever known. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Barb knew her to be sweet, generous, smart, supportive, nurturing and witty. Above all else, her focus in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, all of which were "just perfect" in her eyes. Born in 1936 to the late Helen Hudak and Edwin Bowen and the widow of Francis X. Festa, who died in 1993, Barb is survived by her daughter, Laura Narcavage and husband Mike, son Fran Festa and wife Catie, grandchildren, Kelly Gallagher and partner Paul, Tommy Gallagher and wife Brittany, Andrea Festa and partner Steve, Brandyn Bembenek and great granddaughter Poppy Gallagher. She is also survived by her best friend and partner-in-crime Judy Johnson, former son in law Tom Gallagher, former daughter in law, Rasita Butler, sister in law, Jule Festa, and several nephews and cousins. A special thank you to St. Mary's Villa, in particular the girls from Unit 33, who took such loving care of her over the past several years. We are eternally grateful to each and every one of you. To know Barb was to love her and she will live on in our hearts forever. Barb was a lifelong animal lover, so we are sure that a donation to any animal rescue of your choice would certainly make her smile. Funeral services are entrusted to the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home and there will be no calling hours as per Barb's wishes. For online condolences go to funeral home website. Fly high mom.....we know you will be watching over us all.
