Obituary of Frances R. Skutack
Frances R. Skutack, 86 of Peckville passed away Tuesday. She was the widow of Senior Master Sargent John P. Skutack who passed on May 12, 1982. The couple had been married for 32 years.
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Sophie Poltoresky Angradi. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and Yuba College in California. She spent many years as a military spouse and home maker while her husband was an active duty Air Force member. She made it feel like home no matter what state or country they were in. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Peckville, where she taught Catechism for many years.
Frances was the owner of the Keystone Ceramic Studio for 20 years until she retired. She served as President of the T.O.P.S in Archbald for many years. She was an active member of the Inter Boro Library, the Scranton Chapter of the Red Cross and the Mid Valley Hospital
Ladies Auxiliary. She loved painting and sewing. She enjoyed doing all types of crafts from plastic canvas to wreath making to knitting and crocheting. She was a teacher at heart, she took pride in teaching painting classes and teaching crafts to her family and friends.
She is survived by children, Eugene J. Skutack, Peckville, Frances J. Skutack, New York and John P. Skutack, Jr and wife Diane, Oregon, a brother Enrico Angradi and wife Aggie New Jersey, sisters, Roseanne Sweeney, Carbondale and Victoria Dippel, Jessup, two grandchildren, Michael Tunis and wife Carli and Stephanie Hunsinger and husband Scott, five great grandchildren, Mary Rose Tunis, Haley, Matthew, Frank and Scott John Hunsinger and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Anette Skutack and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be Saturday with mass at 10:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church,
Peckville. Interment at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Anyone attending the funeral will go directly to church. Arrangements are under the care of the Margotta Funeral Homes.
