Obituary of Samuel Christian
Samuel R. Christian, 86, of Eynon, died Friday morning at Allied Hospice Facility. He and his wife, the former Rosemarie Paulauskas, were married for 57 years.
Born in Mayfield, he was the son of the late Anthony and Concetta Crugnale Christian. Sam was a graduate of Mayfield High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a self-employed businessman who owned and operated Christian’s Tire and Auto Inc.for the last 54 years. He was a kind and loving husband and father who will be remembered for his witty, dry sense of humor, football Sundays and love for his pets, he will be dearly missed.
Also surviving are a son, Anthony and fiance' Kimberly Pisanti and her children, Daniella and Nicholas Pisanti, Benton Twp, a sister in law Joan Stoneham and husband Robert, Georgia, an aunt Helen Crugnale, Eynon, several nieces and nephews and a grandson Nicholas.
There will be calling hours on Wednesday at the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville from 5 to 7 pm with a blessing service at 7pm by Assistant Pastor Kasey Wiseman. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Equines for Freedom, PO Box 53 Factoryville, Pa 18419.
