Obituary of Joseph Giambra
Joseph Giambra, 86, of Peckville died Tuesday evening at Lackawanna Health Care Center.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Cataldo and Frances Atmatavage Giambra. Joseph was a graduate of Blakely High School and was employed as a baker at Lucci’s Bakery. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Airforce.
Surviving are two sisters; Helen Dalechak and Carmella Gruzeksi, both of Peckville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Rose Olfano.
The funeral will be on Friday with mass of Christian burial at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Peckville. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Montdale. Per the family’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, Peckville.
