Obituary of Paul Koehler
Paul Koehler, 92, of Westbury, New York, died tuesday at Lackawanna Health Care Center. His wife was the former Annaliese Zoeller who passed away in 1980.
Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Maag Koehler. He was educated in Germany and graduated from a Vocational School. He was employed as a Carpenter and Truck driver.
Paul loved music, dancing, and enjoyed a good party. He was involved in a German Club in Franklin Square where he was a board member for many years. He especially loved his family, his daily routine of enjoying his chocolates and cakes, traveling, both in the U.S. and Germany.
Surviving are a daughter, Roswitha Newman, Jermyn; grandchildren, Gregory Kajkowski and wife Melody, NY, Jessica Kajkowski and husband Donald Giamei, NY, Holly Mercatili and husband Ronald, Jermyn; great grandchildren, Dylan, Justine, Dominic, Donald Jr., Ronnie, and Annalise.
He was preceded in death by a brother Eric and two sisters Agnes and Gerta.
The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Margotta Funeral Homes.
