Obituary of Shirley Fanucci

Shirley Grace Farrow Fanucci, 86 of Peckville, died Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Villa, Elmhurst.

She was the widow of Victor Fanucci who died October 20, 2016. The couple was married 64 years at the time of his death.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Nisia Traviss Farrow. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Church, Jessup , Queen of Angels

Parish. She was also a member of the Divine Mercy Prayer Group.

She worked in the BX while her husband was in the service in Alaska and she was also employed at the Peggy Ann Dress Factory, and the Barbizon Dress Factory in Jessup.

She also ran a small daycare in her home and also sold all kinds of cakes, including wedding cakes.

Shirley enjoyed traveling with her husband and the family, baking, quilting, parades and spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You," to Kim Marra and Meggin Heller, who provided tender loving care until she had to enter the nursing home.

Also surviving are six children; Debra Calvert and husband Jim, Olyphant, Brian Fanucci, Archbald, Karen Betti, Bradenton, FL, Gary Fanucci and wife Susan and Lisa Day and husband Jason, all of Moscow

Greg and wife Jennifer, Plano, Texas, 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, a sister, Bonita Cholish and husband John, Virginia, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister and

brother in law , Marion  and Donald Jenkins, and a daughter in law Ginny Fanucci, and a granddaughter in law, Olivia Rae Day and her pet Lassie.

The funeral will be Friday July 27th from the James m. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main Street, Peckville. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Olyphant at 9:30am.

Interment, St.. John's cemetery, Jessup. A private family viewing will be held Thursday from 4 to 5 PM. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM.
