Obituary of Vincent Angeloni

Vincent Angeloni

May 29, 2018

Vincent Angeloni, 85, of Peckville, died Tuesday morning at home. His wife of 56 years was the former Joan Lacotta. She died in December of 2013.

Born in Jessup, son of the late Louis and Mary Baldinucci Angeloni, Vincent graduated from Jessup High School and opened Angeloni’s Luncheon on Depot Street at the age of 19. He and his wife went on to own and operate the Carriage Inn in Olyphant and worked there for 30 years. He was a longtime resident of Peckville.

Vincent was a family man, and his businesses were secondary to his children. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He worked very hard to provide for his family. Being an only child, he had a special bond with all of his cousins.

The family would like to thank his numerous caregivers for their kind and compassionate care.

Surviving are two sons, Vincent and wife, Maria, Des Moines, Iowa; and Robert and wife, Eileen, Landenburg; a daughter, Elise Gilroy and husband, Jack, Peckville; seven grandchildren, Katrine Lazor; Kim Laboranti; Collen Penzone; Gabriella, Rob, Nicholas and Francesca Angeloni; seven great-grandchildren, C.J., Anna, Rielly, Chloe, Ava, Sophia and Stella; and many cousins.

The funeral will be on Saturday with Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Peckville. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup.

Viewing hours will be held on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville.
