Obituary of Ann Lucas
Ann Lucas, 94, of Peckville died Wednesday at Lackawanna Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Leon Lucas. The couple was married for 67 years.
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Domicella Banavich. She was a graduate of Archbald High School and longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.
Ann’s life revolved around her home and her family. She was an avid gardener and loved to read. She dedicated her time to her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are three daughters; Corinne Kuzmick and husband Robert, Jermyn, Deborah Lucas, Scranton, and Diane Bernardi and husband, Gary, Peckville; grandsons, Robert Kuzmick Jr. and wife Laura, Phila., David Kuzmick, Jermyn; granddaughters, Karen Puhalla and husband Peter, Peckville, Ali Scully and husband Ryan, NYC, and Nicole Bernardi and companion Matt, Phila., great-granddaughters, Kayle Galchefski and husband Matt and Katherine Daniels , great-grandson David Colin Kuzmick , great-great granddaughter, Vienna Galchefski and great-great grandson Matthew Christman , several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Spillane, Sabina Butrymovich, Josephine Voychick, and Alice Shnipes.
The funeral will be on Saturday with mass of Christian burial at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment will follow at St. Cyril’s Cemetery, Peckville. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the James M. Margotta Funeral Home.
