Eleanor Damiani

Eleanor M. Damiani, 78, of Olyphant died Wednesday evening at Dunmore Health Care Center after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses most of her adult life.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late John and stella Schovitz.She was a graduate of Old Forge High School and was employed at Golo Footwear, which was located in Dunmore, PA. She moved to the Mid Valley area in 1986. She worked for David Harris and Son’s for 9 years and then went to work for local florists as a floral designer, which she loved. She was very creative, never bored, always involved in crafts and floral arranging. She was always there for anyone who needed help.She especially enjoyed her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and loved spending time with them when she was able to.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Carone, Jessup, a sister Dorothy Tota, Sayre, PA; four grandchildren, Christopher Damiani and wife Breynne, Nicholson, Claire Jackson, NYC, Kathryn Carone, Philadelphia and Hannah Carone, Jessup; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Lisa Jackson, two brothers John and Joseph Schovitz, a sister Marie Pepsin, a brother in law Ralph Tota
