Thomas E. Fetcho, 80 of Jessup, died Tuesday, CHristmas Day at home after an illness. His wife is the former Louise Rovinsky. The couple celebrated 54 years of marriage in August.
A lifelong jessup resident, he was the son of the late Thomas and Justine Povanda Fetcho. He was a graduate of St. Michael's Parochial School, Class of 1956. He also attended Johnson Technical Trade School in Scranton. He was a US
Army veteran serving in Germany.
He was a long time employee of Golo Footwear in Dunmore. Prior to his retirementhe worked in the maintenance and custodial departments of both the Valley View School District and Marywood University.
Tom was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Church, Queen of Angels Paris, Jessup. He was a charter member of the jessup Carbino Club and for many years served as the organizations first little league baseball coach.
He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be especially missed by his frequent family dog visitor Rudy.
He was an avid NY Giants, and Notre Dame football fan and loved the Boston Red Sox.
The family would like to thank all of the health care professionals who cared for Tom during the course of his illness especially the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Also surviving are his daughter, Lisa Keller and husband Peter, Jessup, a brother, Andrew Fetcgo and wife Jean, Eynon, a grandson, Tim Keller Jessup and a nephew, Andrew Fetcho, Jr, Eynon and many cousins.
The funeral wil be held Saturday from the Louis M. margotta Funeral Home, with mass at 10 am at St. Michael's Church, Queen of ANgels Parish, Jessup. Those attending funeral are asked to go directly to church. Interment, parish
