Obituary of Donna Caselli
Donna M Caselli R.N. of Scott Township passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Detroit, she was the daughter of Norma Agostini Caselli, of Scott Township and the late Angelo Caselli.
Donna was a caring and dedicated nurse for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Bishop Hannon High Schools and obtained her B. S. in nursing from SUNY Binghamton. Nursing was her calling, and she worked endlessly to provide compassionate care. She held advanced certifications , including CCRN, TNCC, ACLS and RN,c. Donna was an avid reader, took pride in her garden, and was a fierce competitor at family game night.
Also surviving are a sister, Bernadine Caselli-Figueroa and husband Lorenzo, Mystic Island, NJ, two brothers, Robert and wife Joan, Peckville and Michael of Scott Township. Also two nephews, Nicholas and Anthony Caselli, and a niece, Morgan Caselli, all of whom she loved as her own children. She also cherished her many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous lifelong friends. She was a special person who was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. She was preceded in death b y her paternal grandparents, Bartolo and Annette Caselli and her maternal grandparents Frank and Mildred Agostini.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main Street, Peckville, with mass at 10 am at St. John Vianney Church, Montdale, celebrated by the Reverend Michael Kirwin. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 PM. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN.
