Obituary of Lillian Kropa
Lillian Kropa, 74, of Dickson City, passed into a place of peace on Christmas Eve, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her adoring and loving husband of 55 years, William “Winky” Kropa.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria Lanuti Adamitis. She was a devoted housewife, incredible mother and grandmother who gave her all. She was blessed with an enormous amount of energy, spending many hours decorating for the holidays and tirelessly working in her garden tending to beautiful flowers. Lillian was of the Catholic faith, a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City, and its Christian Mothers.
She had volunteered at the school cafeteria for many years. A deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was present, as she prayed daily the rosary novena.
Also surviving are her sons, William, Lehigh Valley, and Steven, Archbald; a daughter, Karen, South Carolina; grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Corrinne, Shayna, Chloe, Brett and Brook; a sister, Evelyn; and a niece, Renee.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of the Sacred Heart and its nurses, doctors and staff.
Viewing hours will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the James M. Margotta Funeral, 1019 Main St., Peckville. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 Williams St., Dunmore, PA 18512.
