Josephine Wasilchak 99, of Jessup, died Sunday morning, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart. 
She was the widow of Michael Wasilchak, who died May 8, 1992. The couple was married over 50 years at the time of his death.
Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Berta Havrilak. She was a graduate of Jessup High School, Class of 1938. After high school she started a career as a beautician.  Later in life she retired as a seamtress at Casket Shells Inc.  A very active member of the former St. Michael’s Church in Jessup, now Queen of Angels Parish, where she was involved in the church bingo, the Altar and Rosary Society, the church picnics and the Bread Basket. 

She is survived by a son Robert and wife Nancy, Jessup, a grandson, Robert Wasilchak and wife Stephanie, Jessup, two great grandsons, Justin and Jordan Wasilchak and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Gilbert Havrilak.
A special thank you is extended to the entire staff at Lackawanna Health Care and Rehab Center, especially the D-Wing, for all their services over the past few years.  Also thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the extraordinary care given to our mom during her short stay.
The funeral will be Wednesday   from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup with mass of Christian burial at 10 am at St. Michael’s Church, Queen of Angels Parish, First Avenue, Jessup. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Jessup.
