Obituary of Julia Agnone

Julia A. Agnone, of Scranton, died Wednesday, at Regional Hospital, Scranton, after a brief illness.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years Anthony J. Agnone. Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Mary Marazio.

She was a graduate of the former Scranton Technical High School and was employed for many years as office manager for Guido D. Boriosi, MD.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton. She resided in Scranton for most of her life but enjoyed being a Florida snow bird.

Julia loved country and ballroom dancing, playing pinochle, casino trips, and fine dining.  She enjoyed family dinners and celebrations. 

Also surviving are a daughter, Marianne Gambucci and husband John, Olyphant, a son, Edward D. McLane, Lake Harmony, granddaughter, Dawn Quinn and husband Rich, great grandchildren, Christian and Brandon Quinn, Roaring Brook Twp., nephews and nieces.  She is also survived by an extended family, Madonna Strasburger, Joseph Agnone, Therese Burke, Jason and Leah Burke.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward D. McLane, sisters, Mary Mashe and Rosemary Condeelis, a brother Carl Marazio and an infant brother Pasquale.

The funeral will be Saturday with mass at 9:00 am from Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton. Interment Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Friends may call one hour prior to mass at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Margotta Funeral Homes, Peckville - Jessup.
