Obituary of Edwin Sears
Edwin L. Sears, 78, of Scranton, died Wednesday evening at Moses-Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edwin C. and Doris J. Froelich Sears.
He was educated in Philadelphia Schools and was employed as a Production Manager at Bunnington Furniture Company.
He was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. He loved trains, old movies and working on cars, but especially loved when his family was all together. Recently created an ansectry tree and loved to color pictures for his grandkids. The family would like to especially thank Allied Servcies for their longtime compassionate care. Edwin served his country in the U.S. Navy where he was an avid boxer.
Surviving are three sons, Edwin Michael Sears and wife Dee, Lakeland, FL, Darren M. Sears, Reynoldsville, PA, Colin Louis Sears, S. Sterling; three daughters, Natalie Bambrick and husband James Pfeifer, Carbondale, Courtney Hartman, Scranton, Hilary Briggs and husband Raymond M., S. Canaan; nine grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Holden, Amber, Samuel, Kirsten, Taylor, Gavin, and Calleigh; a brother Robert Sears, FL, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Sears.
The funeral will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home.
