Obituary of Stephanie Lindemann
Stephanie Lindemann, 95 of Archbald, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Green Ridge Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Lindemann.
Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eva Kuhtik Sokol. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School, Class of 1938. Following graduation she worked at The Globe Store in Scranton. After several years she relocated to California where she was employed at Sears, managing various departments. She retired from Sears in 1987. She and her husband David loved to travel. Upon the death of her husband she returned to Olyphant at the home where she was raised, later moving to the town that she loved, Archbald. She was involved in many volunteer organizations, including the American Red Cross, Griffin Pond Animal Shelter and many other worthy causes.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Marino and husband Anthony, Mayfield and Sonya Alleger, Allentown, nephews, Nick, Ken, John, and Sam Marino, nieces Stephanie Marino, Suzanne Walker, Laura Donaghy, JoAnn Hart, Eva Hilshire, Cynthia Bender, June and Woody Kellogg.
The funeral will be Monday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., and Jessup with mass at 9 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Entombment, St. Mary’s Assumption Mausoleum, Montdale. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 7. For online condolences go to funeral home website.
