Obituary of James Novajosky
James R. "Hopper" Novajosky, 80 of Olyphant, formerly of Peckville, died Friday night at home, after an illness.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary Heldock Novajosky.
He was a graduate of Blakely HIgh School and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville and also a member of the US Army National Guard.
He was a good friend to all and loved the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and was an avid golfer who enjoyed his annual trips to Myrtle Baech with his buddies.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Tarletsky, Bethlehem and several deraly beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, including his caregivers, Joan and Dan Balog.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Stephen, Jr., Cyril, Joseph,, Paul, Richard and Frank and two sisters, Mary Kura and Margaret Mack.
The funeral will be Tuesday from The James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville, with mass of Christian burial at 9:30 at Scared Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment, Holy Ghost cemetery, Blakely.
