Enis Kemberling 97, a guest of Holy Family, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the residence after a brief illness.
She was the widow of Mervin Kemberling
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Maria Naticchi Cordelli. She resided in Olyphant and Scranton the last 30 years after spending her married life in Harrisburg. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Holy Spirit Hospital for many years. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish , St. Michael the Archangel Church.
She was a woman of strong faith and was a daily communicant. She enjoyed her family and visits from them seemed to fill her with joy. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by four daughters, Sister Donna Marie Kemberling, Mendham, NJ, Deborah Toomey, Waymart, Enis Hartz, Anaheim, CA, and Michele Deibler, Smithburg, MD, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores Margotta and Irene Cordelli and two brothers, Daniel and Donald Cordelli and an infant Attilio.
The family wishes to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Holy Family Residence for all of the love, care, kindness, patience and generosity that they have extended to our mother over the last seven years. We realize that it has not always been easy but your staff has remained steadfast in your compassion and care for Enis. Thank you for loving our mom.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup mass of Christian burial at 9:30 at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery.
