Elsie Calabani Piersimoni, 94, of Peckville, died Monday evening at Allied Hospice and Palliative Care.
She was the widow of Eugene Piersimoni who died in March of 2015. The couple was married for 70 years at the time of his death.
Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Elvira Lisandrelli Calabani. She attended Archbald schools and was employed in the local garment industry.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville and a former member of its' Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are a daughter Antoinette Topa and husband John, Clarks Summit, three grandchildren, John Topa and wife Laurie, James Topa, and Geno Malinoski and wife Crystal,
five great grandchildren,, Marina, Jenna, Noelle, Angelina and Joshua Topa, and seveal nieces and nephews..She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Marie Malinoski, and brothers; Albert, Eugene and
Leonard Calabani and sisters, Dora Coombs and Clarafini Astolfi.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment, St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon. Friends may call one hour prior to time of service , at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Margotta Funeral Homes.
