Richard James Cesari, 70, of Olyphant, formerly of Peckville, died Monday morning at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia after long courageous battle with an autoimmune disease.
His wife is the former Karen Krisiak Cesari. The couple would have been married 50 years in March.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Amato and Tessie Masci Cesari.
Rich was a graduate of Blakely High School and entered into the PA National Guard shortly after graduating. He was employed at RCA, Thompson, and retired from the Department of Corrections in Waymart.
He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa Sadaka and husband Ron, Olyphant and Krissy Bryk and husband Jerry, Dupont; a grandson Nathan Sadaka; a sister Ethel Taramelli, Peckville; a nephew Joseph Taramelli, Peckville.
The funeral will be on Friday with services at Peckville Assembly of God, Peckville at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup. Viewing hours will be held from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday and 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Friday at the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St. Peckville.
