Regina Esther Galli, 90, of Peckville and Lakeville, Lake Wallenpaupack, died peacefully on November 3, 2011 with her family by her side.  Her husband Guerino passed away in May, 2010. The couple celebrated  63 years of marriage.


She was born on July 24, 1921 in Marshwood, PA the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Possi Minelli. After graduating Jessup High School in 1939 she worked as a seamstress at a few local garment manufacturers.  On February 15, 1947 she married Guerino Galli and was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, PA.  In 1984 she and her husband retired to Lake Wallenpaupack and enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends, spending time taking long walks and working as a volunteer. Regina devoted her life to her family and received great pleasures in cooking and gardening. Her family will always cherish her graceful, gentle and kind spirit.


The family extends its most sincere gratitude for the dedication and support of her primary physician Dr. Wayne Weston, and her cardiologist Dr. Madhava Rao, and from the compassionate care she received in her final days from the caring and comforting staff of Mountain View Care Center, in Scranton.


Regina is predeceased by her siblings, a sister Rose Alco, and three brothers Joseph, John and Louis Minelli, Jr. She is survived by her three sons;  James and his wife Clara of Peckville, Richard and his wife Carol of Plains, and Joseph of Lincolnville Center, Maine; grandchildren Jason, Melissa Regenski and her husband Paul; great-grandchildren Taylor and Trevor; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


The funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main Street, Peckville PA with Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville.  Interment will immediately follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Jessup.
